Danish digital assisted living project gets mixed reception

Nine local councils in northern Jutland have tested video communication in their assisted living services, according to the Digitisation Authority. The Online Bostotte project enables clients to contract their support workers via video on their own desktop computer, table or smartphone. After eighteen months, the video consultation service was found to have saved DKK 3 million, but while some clients welcomed it, others were more sceptical and it was difficult to reach a clear conclusion.
