Danish fixed broadband at 100 Mbps+ up fivefold in H1 2015

Wednesday 20 January 2016 | 12:18 CET | News
The Danish Energy Authority said that number of subscriptions for fixed line broadband at a minimum of 100 Mbps rose from 42,000 in the middle of 2014 to 220,000 in mid-2015. It attributed this to upgrades to cable television networks. In its figures for the first half of 2015, the authority said that traditional voice telephony in Denmark stagnated over the same period. It said broadband at a minimum of 100 Mbps accounted for 9.2 percent of all broadband subscriptions by the middle of last year, up from 1.8 percent.
