Danish pension, sick pay process digitisation to save money

The Danish Digitisation Authority said new legislation will allow the government to use income information already submitted by the public when people apply for pensions or companies for sick pay for their staff. This will simplify applications, reduce paperwork and prevent errors, it said. The new rules mean that local councils and Payments Denmark will be able to use data in the tax office's income registry. The digitisation could save DKK 70 million in public funds, it said.
