DataCo PNG sees 50% cut in internet prices by end-2022

Papua New Guinea (PNG) operator DataCo's CEO Paul Komboi says retail internet prices will be reduced by about 50 percent by the end of 2022, The National reported. Komboi told an investment conference that wholesale prices had already been reduced by about 40 percent, but were not reduced at the retail end because of market competition.He said Vodafone is coming in at the end of 2021 and one of the challenges they see is that a drop in the wholesale price is not being passed on to the end-user.
