Datatec expects 15% higher revenue in H1 despite semiconductor shortage

South African ICT group Datatec says its interim revenue will be significantly higher year on year and would have been higher still without the global semiconductor shortage. In a trading update for the six months ended 31 August, Datatec stated that it achieved a strong operational performance during H1 FY22 as it benefits from remote working, increased cloud usage and secured networking trends. Group revenue is expected to be rise by 15 percent year on year to approximately USD 2.26 billion from USD 1.96 billion in H1 2021.
