De-Cix to sue BND for groundless surveillance

German internet exchange De-Cix plans to file a lawsuit before the Federal Administrative Court against the groundless surveillance by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (BND) of internet users at the Frankfurt site, ndr.de reports. De-Cix is the largest transit points for communication worldwide with telecoms clients including Deutsche Telekom, Vodafone and AT&T; the data throughput is 3 Tbps. BND has intercepted telephone calls, chats and e-mail correspondence since 2009 at least.
