Dell sells IT services arm to NTT for USD 3 billion

Monday 28 March 2016 | 15:31 CET | News
Dell has agreed to sell its IT services arm to NTT Data, a unit of Japanese telecom operator NTT, for USD 3.05 billion. The divestment is expected to help Dell pay for its planned acquisition of EMC. NTT said Dell's customers will have access to an expanded range of services, while the Japanese company strengthens its customer in key verticals such as healthcare and insurance and gains data centres in the US, UK and Australia. NTT Data CEO John McCain will lead integration of the acquisition.
