Dell to buy Force10 Networks

Dell announced an agreement to acquire Force10 Networks, a maker of data centre networking equipment. No financial details of the deal were disclosed. Dell said the takeover will give it a broader range of products to offer enterprise customers, an area where it has been expanding in recent years. The computer maker has been developing an integrated stack of server, storage, networking and services resources for businesses and is already the leading x86 server provider in the US and No. 2 worldwide, according to IDC data.
