Dense Air to reach deal with Anacom before Christmas

Friday 18 October 2019 | 11:15 CET | News
The executive president of Dense Air, Paul Senior, said that it was "very close" to reaching an agreement with Portugal's National Communications Authority (Anacom), most likely before Christmas, reports Lusa. He added that the company wants 5G services to be launched "as soon as possible" in Portugal. Dense Air Portugal has a licence for the 3.5 GHz band, obtained in 2010, which is necessary for the development of 5G. As this frequency band has to be reconfigured to accommodate mobile operators, Dense Air Portugal needs to find a solution with the regulator.
