Desmond-Hellmann departs Facebook BoD

Facebook announced that Susan Desmond-Hellmann, the CEO of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, is stepping down from the company's board of directors, effective 30 October. Desmond-Hellmann said in a letter to Facebook's founder that she is leaving due to increasing demands for her CEO role, extended family, and own health.
