DeTe commissions more than 400 new mobile base stations in Q3

Friday 19 October 2018 | 10:44 CET | News
Deutsche Telekom said it ordered over 400 new mobile stations in Q3 to aggregate and modernise its network and fill coverage gaps. The company said it's driving forward network expansion in Germany faster than any other company. It's doing so with fixed-network and mobile communications in urban centres and rural areas. Nearly 9,000 new services (GSM, UMTS, and LTE) were integrated in the network. More than 325,000 additional customers can now access Deutsche Telekom's LTE network, increasing population coverage by 0.1 percent to the existing 97.6 percent.
