Deutsche Bahn says self-installed transmission sites a means to improve mobile service on trains

Wednesday 14 March 2018 | 13:45 CET | News
Deutsche Bahn said it is prepared to resort to "unconventional means" to improve mobile service in its trains if discussions with Deutsche Telekom, O2 and Vodafone fail to deliver the necessary improvements for customers, reported Heise Online. Deutsche Bahn said as an example that it could install its own transmission and reception masts alone train tracks that suffer from poor internet coverage, wrote Heise.
