Deutsche Bahn to cancel its 'Touch &Travel' ticketing system

Deutsche Bahn has announced that it is to cancel its "Touch &Travel" ticketing systems by the end of the year, because of low customer take-up, nahverkehrhamburg.de reports. The functionality behind the system will still be used by DB's regional providers in their own applications, however. "Touch &Travel" has 100,000 registered customers.
