Deutsche GigaNetz to invest up to EUR 3 billion to expand fibre network

German network operator Deutsche GigaNetz plans to invest up to EUR 3 billion to expand fibre expansion. The company wants to connect over 1 million private households, companies, public authorities and institutions with FTTH all over Germany. Based in Hamburg, Deutsche GigaNetz is financed by the European infrastructure investor InfraRed Capital Partners, part of the Canadian Sunlife insurance company.
