Deutsche Telekom acquires 7,700 mobile sites from Telefonica

Telefonica Deutschland is transferring 7,700 mobile telephone sites to Deutsche Telekom. This will realise part of the synergies announced as arising through the integration of the O2 Germany and e-Plus networks. Furthermore, Telefonica Deutschland can use the resources saved by not having to dismantle these redundant transmitters, to expand its LTE network.
