Deutsche Telekom buys security specialist Rola

Monday 23 June 2014 | 09:44 CET | News
Deutsche Telekom has taken over Rola Security Solutions in order to boost its new cyber-security division, WirtschaftsWoche reported in its online edition. It acquired the Oberhausen-based company on 01 March, but the deal has not been announced until now, said the finance magazine's website. Rola works closely with the police and other security services. Deutsche Telekom told WirtschaftsWoche that it had bought Rola to stop it being sold to a foreign buyer and to prevent its know-how being transferred abroad.
