Deutsche Telekom considering towers spinoff - report

Deutsche Telekom is examining the possibility of spinning off or listing its infrastructure assets, including its mobile phone towers, according to unnamed sources cited by Bloomberg. The company has around 40,000 cell sites in Europe and has hired advisors to help it consider its options, said the sources. The company subsequently confirmed that it was indeed mulling the possibility of raising cash from infrastructure transactions, following similar moves by competitors Telefonica and Telecom Italia.
