Deutsche Telekom launches 3 broadband upgrade projects in Lower Saxony

Deutsche Telekom has launched three more broadband expansion projects in the German state of Lower Saxony as part of the states programme "More Broadband for Germany" (MBfD). Telekom is connecting roughly 16,000 households in the Hannover region as well as the districts of Schaumburg and Goslar to its broadband network with speeds up to 100 Mbps over the next twelve months. The company is laying over 470 kilometers of fibre and installing 228 terminal boxes as part of the upgrade to deliver state-wide high-speed internet to Lower Saxony, including so-called "white spots" in difficult coverage
