Deutsche Telekom launches Offline Scanner Pro

Deutsche Telekom has launched new technology that scans computers for necessary patch updates without accessing the computer directly. The Offline Scanner Pro system installs a shell script on computers on a company's network, which then regularly and automatically reports the patch status of these devices to the scanner. The 'reverse scanner' system has no active contact with the machine being scanned.
