Deutsche Telekom operates mast with bio-methanol fuel cell in Dettelbach

Deutsche Telekom said it has started to operate a mobile mast using a fuel cell powered by bio-methanol in the district of Euerfeld in the town of Dettelbach in Bavaria. Telekom usually uses diesel generators to produce electricity. This new fuel cell enables the company to provide mobile communications while avoiding CO2 emissions, but generating a high level of energy at the same time.
