Deutsche Telekom plans cloud-based platform for auto industry with BMW, SAP

The German government has announced that carmaker BMW plans to build a cloud-based platform for the exchange of data in the auto industry with Deutsche Telekom, Robert Bosch, SAP, Siemens and ZF Friedrichshafen. The platform is open to players in the vehicle industry in Europe and their partners, and to small and medium-sized companies. The so-called automotive alliance is supported by government funds under the economic stimulus package. The project is the first concrete application of the European Gaia-X cloud.
