Deutsche Telekom plans to create a new subsidiary that will focus on FTTH deployment and is looking for 1,500 employees for the subsidiary, according to the Financial Times Deutschland citing unnamed sources. The new company has a project name FTTH GmbH and should ensure a more rapid roll-out of FTTH networks within Germany. The company will first hire trainees from the Technology and Service divisions, who cannot be given a job at Deutsche Telekom. They will get a two years contract. FTTH GmbH will have several hundred of employees in 2012, according to confirmation from a Telekom spokesman.
