Deutsche Telekom prepares for VoLTE launch

Thursday 7 May 2015 | 11:08 CET | News
Deutsche Telekom is planning to launch VoLTE over the course of the year but has not announced a date yet, teltarif.de reports. While Vodafone Germany and O2 Germany already offer calls within their LTE networks, Telekom is still preparing and supplying the first smartphones with the software updates necessary for the switch. The Sony Xperia Z3 with Deutsche Telekom firmware on Android Lollipop already offers the LTE feature in the menu. As a result, users will be able to use the 4G straight after the launch. Vodafone and O2 equipped smartphones gradually after the launch.
