Deutsche Telekom starts entry-level TV service

Tuesday 4 April 2017 | 15:33 CET | News
Deutsche Telekom announced the introduction of a new entry-level TV plan, called StartTV, for EUR 2 per month. Available from May, the plan comes with around 100 channels, including 22 in HD, and an EPG with 'intelligent search'. Customers require an internet connection with at least 16 Mbps and the new Media Receiver Entry decoder, which costs EUR 2.95 per month or EUR 79.99 one-off. Telekom said the offer targets consumers who mainly watch live, linear TV, without the need for the interactive features offered on its more premium EntertainTV service.
