Deutsche Telekom starts telemedicine project in Saxony

Tuesday 27 May 2014 | 10:37 CET | News
Deutsche Telekom said it has teamed up with the state of Saxony and with Carus Consilium Sachsen (CCS) to start a telemedicine project that it claims is unique in the European Union. The aim is to prioritise patients in rural areas in particular where there are few doctors available. The scheme involves setting up an open platform that could link up doctors, clinics, health insurers and patients and ensure the rapid dissemination of information among them.
