Deutsche Telekom tests new hybrid modem with up to 550 Mbps

Deutsche Telekom announced its T-Labs is testing a new version of its hybrid modem for delivering both VDSL and LTE services. The upgrade is based on a new bundling platform developed at T-Labs, based on the Prioritized & Proxy Multipath TCP (PP-MPTCP) protocol. This is designed as a pure software solution that works on different hardware and virtualization environments and uses the entire bandwidth available for bundling.
