Deutsche Telekom to throttle DSL service - report

Deutsche Telekom is planning to throttle its DSL speeds once a certain volume of data has been used, CNET.de reported, citing the Fanboy.fm blog. It said Fanboy got its information from a Telekom insider. According to Fanboy's source, from 02 May, DSL internet speed will be throttled to 384 Kbps once a certain amount of data has been used up. For Call and Surf or Entertain, usage at 16 Mbps will be limited to 75 GB. The VDSL service has a limit of 200 GB before it slows down, Fiber 100 has a limit of 300 GB and Fiber 200 provides 400 GB.
