Deutsche Telekom upgrades 45,000 antennae to 5G in 2020

Deutsche Telekom said it has upgraded 45,000 antennas for 5G transmissions in the past year, providing the option to use  5G internet in over 4,700 cities and towns. The majority of the antennas transmit on the 2.1 GHz frequency band in cities, in smaller communities and in rural areas. Telekom has made available 5G in 26 cities on the 3.6 GHz frequency, too.
