The German Federal Network Agency (BNetzA) has submitted a proposal to grant Deutsche Telekom competitors access to the Layer 2-Bit stream to the European Commission for input. On 01 November, BNetzA agreed to implement the proposal in a fast-track decision. The European Commission now has one month to provide any comments on the proposal. Under the proposed model, Deutsche Telekom competitors wishing to access the Layer 2-Bit stream model would face charges of EUR 18.56 for VDSL connections at 16 Mbps, 25 Mbps or 50 Mbps, and EUR 19.10 for 100 Mbps connections.
