Digi launches direct carrier billing with Fortumo

Malaysian mobile operator Digi, part of Telenor Group, tapped mobile payments company Fortumo to launch direct carrier billing in Malaysia. Digi is the third operator from the Telenor Group to work with Fortumo. Thanks to the partnership, 12 Digi million subscribers will be able to make online payments by charging the purchases to their mobile phone bill. Fortumo and Telenor Group have been working together since 2013 and in addition to Malaysia, are offering direct carrier billing to Telenor networks in Pakistan and Thailand. In total, Fortumo covers 16 countries in the Asia Pacific region,
