DiGi revenues grow 5.6% to MYR 1.75 bln

Malaysian mobile operator DiGi.Com (DiGi) reported a 5.6 percent year-on-year increase in revenues to MYR 1.75 billion in the second quarter of 2014, driven by a rise in data revenues of nearly 40 percent. The EBITDA at Malaysia's third largest operator came in at MYR 795 million for the quarter ending 30 June, an increase of 6.4 percent compared to the year-earlier period, while the EBITDA margin improved to 46 percent and profit after tax grew 31.3 percent year-on-year to MYR 499 million. DiGi also reported that smartphone penetration among its 10.9 million customers increased to 41.9
