Digicel asks for further EUR 80 mln in damage claim against Orange Caraibe – report

Digicel has taken action to pursue an additional EUR 80 million from Orange's Caribbean subsidiary in the long-running legal battle which opposes the two companies, according to information gathered by the Irish Times. In February, the Paris Commercial Court ordered Orange to pay EUR 346 million to Digicel in damages and interest, following a compensation claim brought after Orange Caraibe was found guilty of anti-competitive practices in the French Antilles, in a ruling dating back to 2009. In this latest development, Digicel claims the award should be revised upwards to EUR 426 million,
