Digicel Barbados apologises for misleading mobile ad

Digicel Barbados has been forced to apologise to its mobile customers for misleading advertising after receiving a rebuke from the country's Fair Trading Commission (FTC), reports Barbados Today. To celebrate the West Indies being crowned T20 cricket world champions, Digicel sent out a text message to customers saying they would be given triple credit on top-ups of BBD 24 or more on 04 April. However, after a number of customers complained they had not benefited from the advertised offer, the company initially told them they should have phoned a special number to receive the credit.
