Digicel expands 4G coverage to 92% of Jamaica population

Digicel has completed a large expansion project on its 4G mobile network, increasing its coverage to 92 percent of Jamaica's population. Digicel has deployed 170 new 4G mobile sites across the island to expand coverage and increase 4G capacity in all 14 parishes. The operator has also deployed 17 new 2G and 4G sites to upgrade coverage in many rural areas. Digicel reports is has seen an increase of over 200,000 subscribers on its 4G mobile network over the last quarter and over 70 percent increase in subscribers using its data plans.
