Digicel launches HSPA+ in El Salvador

Digicel has launched 4G services in El Salvador, using HSDPA+ technology. Digicel's 4G offering is currently available in the Gran San Salvador area, but will be soon expanded across the country. The launch is part of Digicel El Salvador's master plan of investment for the 2013/15 period. As part of this plan, Digicel plans to invest over USD 45 million in the period, mainly in the upgrade of its infrastructure in El Salvador. Digicel has already invested USD 30 million in the first year of the project rollout, with the remaining USD 15 to be invested in 2014 and 2015, El Salvador reports,
