Irish-owned operator Digicel has settled its longstanding dispute with the government of Antigua and Barbuda over the country's spectrum allocation, reports the Daily Observer. Digicel has agreed to the government's demands to hand over 2MHz of spectrum in the 850MHz band and 9MHz in the 900MHz band to state-owned operator Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) in exchange for the "automatic continuity" of its licences beyond 2021. The operator also agreed to drop an interim court injunction preventing the government from confiscating any of its spectrum.
