Digicel's connectivity in Tonga restored by SES Networks

SES Networks said it rapidly restored Digicel Tonga's mobile networks and broadband access services across the Polynesian archipelago following a severe fibre outage that occurred on 20 January. Under an agreement, Digicel uses SES's C-band beams to provide satellite-enabled and scalable IP transit trunk circuits between Tonga and Fiji. SES Networks' Signature Telecom Solution enabled Digicel Tonga to ensure business-critical services were available to customers across the island nation.
