Digi's Q1 revenue drops 7.7%, profit down nearly 17%

Malaysian mobile operator Digi reports that its revenue decreased by 7.7 percent year-on-year to MYR 1.65 billion in the first quarter of 2016. Service revenue fell 1.8 percent year-on-year to MYR 1.56 billion. The operator's active internet subscriber base rose to 7.9 million or 64.2 percent of total subscribers, while 4G LTE subscribers grew to 2.9 million at 31 March.
