Digital advertising captures 25% of Spanish market in 2015

Spending on digital advertising in Spain jumped 21 percent in 2015, capturing 25 percent of the overall market, up from 22.9 percent a year earlier, according to a survey conducted by IAB Spain and PWC. While desktop advertising still accounted for the vast majority of spending, mobile advertising grew by 82 percent over the period. The digital sector ranked second in the overall advertising market and was worth EUR 1.30 billion in 2015, of which desktop spending totalled EUR 1.17 billion and mobile EUR 78.4 million.
