Digital modernisation investment to form 30% of META IT spending by 2024 vs 18% in 2018

Investments in digital transformation and innovation will account for 30 percent of all IT spending in the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa (META) by 2024, up from 18 percent in 2018, according to International Data Corporation (IDC). The IDC, which is hosting more than 500 regional ICT industry figures in UAE, said annual security spending will top USD 3.6 billion by 2023. Spending on artificial intelligence will reach USD 600 million in 2023, doubling from 2018 levels, it said.
