Discovery mulling its own OTT service

US media company Discovery Communications is thinking about launching its own OTT service, LightReading reported, citing a company call. CEO David Zaslav said the company is "now starting to examine a new opportunity" for the US that would bring together all of Discovery's channels, as well as those bought from Scripps Networks last year. The company's channels include the Discovery Network, TLC, HGTV, Mototrend, Sci, Food Network and Great American Country. The company said it will be looking deeply into the matter over the next few months.
