Djezzy reaches 8.5 Gbps capacity in trial with Nokia Wavence product

Nokia has announced that it has successfully completed a trial with Algerian mobile operator Djezzy, using microwave carrier aggregation technology to support increased demand for capacity. The trial utilised Nokia's Wavence microwave transport product with an ultra-high capacity of 8.5 Gbps over a distance of nearly 6 kilometers. This will enable Djezzy to provide service with reduced latency and high capacity to its 14.2 million subscribers.
