DNA says 4G traffic tripled in 2015

Wednesday 13 January 2016 | 17:21 CET | News
Finnish operator DNA said its 4G traffic tripled last year, increasing by 222 percent in 2015. Two-thirds of data on its mobile network now runs over 4G. The company expects further strong growth this year, with data traffic projected to double. It will continue to expand the LTE copverage to meet demand. Nearly 3,000 base stations were added last year, of which about two-thirds support 4G. A similar pace of expansion is expected this year.
