DNA says finalists in Energy Challenge cut consumption by nearly 8% compared with past 5 years

Finnish operator DNA said the winner of the Energy Challenge 2021 competition that ran in Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa this winter will be announced in April. Experts calculate that it every district heating company in Finland acted in the same way as the ten finalists, then the country's CO2 emissions would be reduced by up to 220 million kilos. The top ten cut their energy consumption by an average of 7.56 percent in the period December-February compared with the same months in the previous five years, against an average of 4.83 percent for all entrants.
