Dominican Republic mobile users grow to 8.7 mln in November

There were 8.70 million mobile telephone lines in operation in the Dominican Republic at the end of November 2015, according to data published by the Dominican Telecommunications Institute (Indotel). Of the total, 6.80 million were pre-paid lines and 1.90 million post-paid. In terms of market share, Orange Dominicana/Altice had 3.51 million, followed by Trilogy Dominicana (431,121) and Tricom (317,869).
