Dominican Republic plans cyber security strategy

The Dominican Telecommunications Institute (Indotel) and the Organization of American States (OAS) have signed an agreement for the creation of a national cyber security strategy in the Dominican Republic and a Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT). The framework of cooperation involves an estimated investment of USD 200,000. Besides the establishment of a national CSIRT in the Dominican Republic, the project also includes the procurement of equipment and licenses, training and advisory services, specialized training and participation in international activities.
