The Dominican Republic is set to finally begin its analogue TV switch off in January 2017, reports local daily Listin Diario, citing new Dominican Telecommunications Institute (Indotel) president Jose del Castillo Savinon. The signal of TNI-Channel 51 is currently being adapted to DTT and should be ready by January, said Castillo. The analogue switch off was initially scheduled for September 2015 before Indotel postponed it to August 2021.
