Dominican Republic ups tax on imported phones to 8%

Tuesday 12 February 2019 | 10:34 CET | News

The initial intention was to hike the tariff to 20 percent but the 8 percent figure was finally agreed upon after taking into account the "usefulness and service provided by these devices", said the official, adding that the decision would not affect the end user.
