DR to shut 3 TV and 3 radio stations after 20% funding drop, cuts jobs to save DKK 420 mln a year

Danish public broadcaster DR has announced a reduction in its number of linear television channels from six to three and its number of radio channels from eight to five. In streamlining following the political decision to reduce its funding by 20 percent, or DKK 773 million, DR said it will reduce its headcount by 375 to 400 workers, including 25 executives.
