Draft order specifies how to describe FttB as fibre in ads

The French government had drafted an amendment to a December 2013 order to clarify the use of the word "fibre" in operators' advertising, a measure mainly aimed at Numericable-SFR, reports Les Echos. The draft language states that all advertising message or commercial document from a service provider that uses the word "fibre" when the end-user connection is not fibre, must specify what physical support is used for the final connection starting with the words. Every use of the word fibre must come with an asterix that sends readers to the statement "final connection by ____".  The new measure
